A stage for the best teams in Europe to compete for the ultimate crown of the continent, it only makes sense that the amount of UEFA Champions League prize money on offer each season is massive.
While the end sum isn’t quite as much as the Premier League prize money that goes to the English champions, the UCL winners can certainly secure a hefty sum for their efforts – and in far fewer games.
These figures are drawn from UEFA’s official publication of prize money (converted into GBP from EUR in the 2025/26 season) for participation in their tournaments for the 2024-2027 cycle.

How Much UEFA Champions League Prize Money Do the Winners Get?
For making good on their Champions League odds and winning the trophy, a team can expect to get £5.64 million in prize money as a nice cherry on top of their stack of earnings to that point.
This £5.64 million goes on top of the £16.06 million for making it to the Final, £13.02 million for winning in the Semi-finals, £10.85 million from the Quarter-finals, and £9.55 million from the Round of 16.
Prior to the UCL knockout phase, the eventual champions will have also pocketed prize money of between £2.61 million and £1.74 million for making it to the knockouts and up to £8.6 million for their League Phase table rank.
On top of this, teams get £16.17 million for being in the UCL League Phase, £1.82 million per win.
Assuming that the eventual winners enter at the UCL League Phase and win every game en route to lifting the Champions League trophy, they will earn £97.06 million.
Even if the game doesn’t prove to be among the greatest UCL Finals of all time, the winning team will receive a colossal sum for their efforts. On top of this, they get at least £3.47 million for participating in the UEFA Super Cup.
How Much UEFA Champions League Prize Money Do Teams Get in the League Phase?
Teams that make it to the League Phase of the UEFA Champions League will get a payout of £16.17 million. Across the eight games that they get football odds for in the League Phase, teams can earn even more prize money.
Draws during the League Phase will net £607,800 in prize money, while wins earn £1.82 million each. As such, a team that wins every game will grab an extra £14.56 million.
Further, teams get £1.74 million in Champions League prize money for finishing in the top eight of the table and £870,000 for landing from ninth to 16th.
How Much UEFA Champions League Prize Money Do Teams Get in the Play-offs?
In the UCL Play-offs, teams get a flat participation fee of £3.72 million if they lose.
Should a team win the round and get to the League Phase, they’ll get a minimum of £16.17 million in UCL prize money instead of the £3.72 million.
